Why Karmic…

Someone has truly said- the good comes along with the bad. Just like two sides of the coin. Like Yin Yang. Today is all about that.

And almost like a sign, just five minutes before writing this post, I read this – Our destiny and Karma is responsible for all that we go through our lives. And this set a spark of thoughts in my brain.

I am a firm believer in both Destiny and Karma. However, interestingly, while our destiny is pre-determined, our Karma is in our own hands. What we do today, has repercussions not only tomorrow, but for much, much longer. And sometimes it follows us across lifetimes.

Having had some special experiences in the recent past, I could go on and on about our mystical world and its ways, however, today is a day to simplify things.

I have been asked several times about the unusual name, Karmic Foods. It is pretty much in line with my chain of thoughts today. Just like our physical and tangible Karma, what we put inside our bodies is also a big part of our lives. I bet we have all wondered sometime or the other about how strong and healthy our ancestor were. I have not seen the same patterns across our parents and our generations, where more often than not, we find ourselves in the middle of thyroid, PCOD, low metabolism, diabetes etc. While our lifestyle has drastically and comfortably changed over these times, there is one more factor that has led us to where we are today. Our FOOD.

And just the way our Karma is in our own hands for us to generate good brownie points for the times to come, so is our food.

This step for us is our effort to change our food Karma. A pledge to eat cleaner, healthier. A pledge to reduce our pesticide count intake, to say NO to GMO and processed food. Of staying away from artificial dyes.

And just like the big mystical ways of the Universe, hopefully this good Karma will also come back to us, soon!
